SWIM NINJA

In Depth Analysis and Coverage of Summer League Swimming

About

Originally NVSLnews.com, Swim Ninja was created in the spring of 2009 by two swimmers who have swum at the summer league, club, and collegiate level.  We first set out to provide coverage of the Northern Virginia Swimming League (NVSL), as well as provide a forum for discussion amongst swimmers, coaches, and fans of the NVSL.

Over the course of the year we wanted to expand the coverage of our site to other leagues, and we evolved from NVSL News into Swim Ninja.  We are avid swimmers and fans of swimming, and Swim Ninja intends to convey our passion for the sport.  At this point Swim Ninja is primarily focused on covering summer league swimming, but who knows what next year will bring…

Our passion for swimming began at a young age when our first swimming memories were forged with our local summer pools.  Summer League still captivates us after all these years because of its uniqueness.  It is the only sport where boys and girls ages 6 to 18 can compete on the same team and the 8 year old’s points matter just as much as the 18 year old’s.

We use interviews, videos of races, articles, photos, as well as twitter updates to keep our followers posted on the happenings of the different leagues.  Also, sign up for an account so you can interact with other swimmers, coaches, and fans!  And look for us at your pool this summer!
