Saturday’s all-stars did not disappoint with the weather staying sunny and two NVSL records falling. You can now watch the races here.
In the boys 8 & under 25 fly Anthony Grimm of Fair Oaks broke the NVSL record with a time of 16.80. The previous record was from 2002, held by Austin Patteson of Fairfax with in a time of 17.10. Anthony took home his second gold medal in the boys 8 & under 25 back with a time of 18.17.
The meet also concluded with an NVSL record in the 15-18 girls 50 back. The record was broken earlier in the summer by Janet Hu of Mosby Woods in a time of 29.69. Reanna Dona of the host pool, Waynewood, broke the record in a time of 29.18. Reanna also took home another gold medal in the girls 15-18 50 fly with a time of 29.10.
There were 12 swimmers who took home two gold medals, with the greatest margin of victory coming from Sinead Eksteen of Shouse Village. Sinead won the 9-10 girls 50 back by 3 seconds with a time of 34.98. She also won the 100 IM by 9 seconds in a time of 1:15.26.
