Conversation with Langley Head Coaches: Jason Cochrane and Kat Owczarski

The Ninjas sat down with Langley Head Coach Jason Cochrane and longtime Wild Thing Kat Owczarski to learn more about this surging NVSL swim team. In the past 15 years, Langley has moved from Division 12 to the top division in the league, and not by accident! Kat fills us in on how the community has grown stronger seemingly year by year, as their team-building activities and spirit have ramped up to match the energy the team brings to the pool. First-year head coach Jason Cochrane fills us in on his vast history coaching the sport at nearly every level, and why he continues to love coming back to his roots in summer swimming. Despite working with some of the best athletes in the area throughout the year, Jason finds summer swimming to be a “therapeutic” experience because it allows him to help young athletes find a love for the sport and learn the values of being involved with a team! We are very excited to see how the Langley Wild Things do in Division 1 with the best teams in the NVSL–see the full interview below:

Good Luck this summer Langley!
